Marvel in the 1960's Spiderman #1

       Hello and welcome to the new Marvel in the 1960's. Today we look at Th Amazing Spider-man vol 1 # 1 from 1963. However, before we start lets recap last time where we looked at Iron Man. It was his origin story and showed the United States involvement in Vietnam. Turing back to this issue it is time to look at the plot.

Marvel in the 1960's: Tales to Astonish #35

         The comic starts in a secluded area somewhere in the u.s defense perimeter at the lab of Anthony Stark. A guard says Stark must be important to get 24 hour guards. The other says the commies would give all to get him. Inside, Tony is showing a general the power of the transistors he created and that he can use them to open a locked vault. Soon he turns them on and the vault door soon comes off. He adds they can increase the force of power a thousand fold. Tony than asks if they can solve the U.S's problems in Vietnam. The General says he's ready to believe anything.

Nova #12

       The comic starts deep in the Melovian galaxy. Sam is thinking as a ship is nearby. I'm keeping a JOURNAL from now on. Like, a real pen and paper Journal. I'm doing it in case I go into space and I don't come back. So my mom wouldn't have to wonder what happened to her son. She's got enough on her plate. And right now so do I. There are a lot of ways out here for a Nova to DIE. In the ship(last issue) now holding a nova helmet he says. Let's see how YOU went... A recording says. I'm not AFRAID of you--

        The story starts on the coast of Norway where Dr. Don Blake is vacationing. As he leaves a place he does not see a Alien Spaceship land behind him.

       The comic starts in Carefree, Arizona. At the office of Dr. Kettlewell. Sam yells. AN OPTICAL MIGRAINE?! Oh my god, I'm dying! The doctor at this says. You're NOT dying, Sam. Sam at this says. What about the LIGHTS I've been seeing? Dying people see lights. How can you be sure they've not "DYING LIGHTS"? The doctor at this says. An "OPTICAL MIGRAINE" May or may not be accompanied by the traditional pain associated with a migraine headache... But it will go away. Your temporary blindness is just that. TEMPORARY. His mom at this says. OH, THANK GOD! The doctor adds. What's CHANGED for you? Have you had any more stress in your life? Sam at this says. Well, my Dad was the school janitor, and the bullies liked to REMIND me of that. But now he's not the janitor anyomore... The doctor at this says. I see. Than adds. Well, that ought to be a help. Sam at this says. HE RAN OUT ON US. The doctor to this says. OKEYDOKEY, Let's say stress is a CONTRIBUTING FACTOR. I see you had a serious CONCUSSION recently. Have you taken any other shots to the head AFTER you were hospitalized? Sam at this says. HMMM.... His mom adds. Well...

         The Comic starts with some High Schoolers making fun of Peter Parker. Standing off to the side. They call him a bookworm and midtown high's only professional wallflower.

Marvel in the 1960's; The Incredible Hulk # 1 part 2

         Our Comic picks back up at the house with Bruce saying to Betty that he is sorry and that he has been under a terrible strain and that Rick will show Betty to the door. He states that he will call her after he pulls himself together. After she leaves Rick says. they can talk now. He asks what it was like to be the Hulk. He wonders if it's over now. Bruce says it is just the beginning. He adds. That likely he will become the hulk again when it turns to night time. He mentions the power of the Hulk and fears being he Hulk again.

Nova # 10

        The comic starts with a flashback and Sam thinking. Okay, so this happens.... DOCTOR DOOM'S gotten his hans on Thor's hammer, which has a name that I can pronounce but whatever. And he's just FEEDING it to the Avengers. And the X-Men. All the heroes, actually. And what are they going to do about it? It's a magical hammer and there's nothing on Earth that can stop it. NOTHING ON EARTH. I hope you were paying attention to that part. Because little do they knew that I've been up to see the watcher. And he's sent me to see the SILVER SURFER with a note that says I'm a pretty cool guy and he can trust me with his stuff.

Marvel in the 1960's; The Incredible Hulk # 1 part 1

         The comic starts in the desert showing a picture of a G-Bomb. Miles away in a concrete bunker a task force of scientists is waiting for this bomb to go off. The first test of a Gamma bomb. In the bunker is Dr. Bruce Banner. He is waiting for it to go off as well and helped to create it. A scientist next to him thinks it is too dangerous. The man wants to know the secret of the gamma ray. However, Banner quiets him as a General Ross appears. Ross wants to know what the wait is for. Banner states that every precaution needs to be taken as it is a powerful force. Ross calls Banner a milksop and says he should have put in charge of the test as he would have it done by now. He daughter Betty speaks up and says that Banner knows what he is doing. Ross tells her to stay out of this "man talk" Betty however adds that he tries to live up to his nickname of "thunderbolt" and not to worry.

Nova # 9

       The comic starts showing a picture of the mailbox of sam's home and a voice yelling. SAM! It seems that Sam was driving the truck and hit the mailbox. Robbie at this says. I thought you said you knew how to drive! Dam at this says. I do! Vance chimes in and adds. That is provably false. He than adds. We should have known when you said you'd "always" wanted to" an '92 Toyota pickup. Let me guess. You don't even have a driver's licence.... Robbie adds. What's that smell? Did you leave the e-break on?! Sam to this says. I don't know what an E-brake is, How could I leave it on--?! Suddenly, he says. Wait, I smell it too....

Marvel in the 1960's: Tales to Astonish #27

         The comic starts with a cry of triumph from Henry Pym. He yells. It works! I've done it. He using a formula that has reduced a full sized chair to doll size. He than uses a reverse potion to regrow it to it's normal size. In a flash back colleagues make fun of him for his ideas and how out their they are.

Nova # 8

         The comic starts at Lunar orbit +- 500 miles. At Thanos Arrival. A voice on a ship says. The details of Earth's SUBJUGATION are beneath my concern, Corrus Glaive.

Marvel in the 1960's: Fantastic Four # 1

         The comic starts with people looking at a cloud saying. The Fantastic Four. Below cops are talking. one wonders what it means. Another that it is making crowds panicky. A third says their are rumors of an Alien Invasion. Above a figure holds a smoke flare gun and says. It is the first time he had to use the gun and prays it will be the last time. It is also stated he is the leader of the Fantastic Four.

Nova # 7

           the comic starts in New York City with Sam on top of the statue of Liberty  and talking. Well, giant liberty dude. THIS IS IT. New York City. The crime capital of the world. Probably. I can't believe mom wanted me to stay in Arizona and clean up CAREFREE... This place needs NOVA. I can SMELL it. Suddenly, a light flashes on him and a voice says. PUT YOUR HANDS WHERE WE CAN SEE THEM! Sam can only say. --what'?!

Nova #6

       The comics starts one to several months after the last issue and likely one month after the events of Avengers vs X-men. Sam now flying home is talking to himself and says. Mom, remember how you always wished I took more interest in church? Well, I did you one better, I struck up a personal relationship with a god. His name is Thor. He asked me to join the Avengers, And I'd love to say no, but It'd kind of be against my religion.. Which is knowing Thor.

         The comic starts with Captain America demonstrating his shield and its ability to return to him. the group is shocked at this and each make a comment about it.

Nova # 5

          The comic starts at Sam Alexander's house in Carefree Arizona and time is up. Sam talking says. I'm warning you, TITUS. Don't take ANOTHER step. Titus to this standing at full height says. What would you do, SPROUT? TALK me to death? Your FATHER liked to talk as well. Not anymore. You will turn over THE ULTIMATE NULLIFIER-- From the corner of his eyes Sam sees his skateboard and starts to hit it with his foot as Titus says. And I will consider NOT destroying you and-- With a TOK the skateboard causes the Helmet to fly from Titus hand and he says. No. Sam to this says. YES! grabs the helmet and puts it on saying. MY turn.

Tales from Another Legion: Avengers #5

          The comic starts at the Avengers Mansion/Tony Stark's Mansion where they inspect damage caused by the Hulk in Fantastic Four issue 26 which they had joined in the fighting with that group.

Giant-Man suggests a construction crew to repair the house. The wasp is happy the damage is not worse. Thor than tells them it is time to disband for a short time. Giant-Man and the wasp take their growth pills just as Iron Man thanks them for help in the fight. The two then race to their lab/home. Lastly, Thor heads off but promises his hammer and himself are always at call for the Avengers.

Nova # 4

          The comic starts in Deep Space near Jupiter four seconds after the end of the last issue. Sam appears to be dead. A voice in a ship nearing him says. Do what you want with the body- But I want the helmet intact. A alien says as it nears the body. It looks dead. It looks like a WHELP, Why is there any reason to fear this one? Suddenly, Sam says. Suckers.

Tales from Another Legion: Avengers # 4

         The comic starts with a highlight of last issue and Namor the sub-mariner jumping into the ocean. For several hours he looks for Atlantis but cannot find the city as they have hid it from him due to his previous actions against humans. Namor soon heads up to the North Pole and after awhile finds a bunch of "Eskimos" in their village worshiping something called the Mighty Lord of the Frozen Ice.
