       The comic starts with a giant space monster attacking a ship. The creature shaped like a whale soon eats the cargo of ore and the crew on lifeboats end out a distress call. Nearby, returning from a one man mission Lighting Lad hears it and thinks they have to be exaggerating. He soon gets to the lifeboats and calls the space guard. The crew tell him the creature has headed for a nearby red asteroid.

        The comic starts outside of Smallville high. Two boys are making fun of Clark Kent calling him a worm and saying he will spend hours doing homework. However, Clark at home quickly does his homework as unknown to these two he is Superboy.

         The comic starts on the sorcerers' world in the 31st century. Ultra Boy(Jo NAH) having just appeared on the world from last issue says. But banned or not, It's a wise child who knows the way home. Suddenly, their is a RRRUMMBLE and Glorith adds. But the unsettled ground-- That is NOT as it should be. Chameleon Boy(Reep Qaggle) in bird form to help carry Glorith says. You got us out of the disaster on RIMBOR. Now let's see if the witch can figure out what is happening there. Glorith to this says. If she cannot keep our own world from being unsettled. I fear the REST may be beyond reach... Ultra Boy to this says. Trust a magician-- ominous and INCOMPREHENSIBLE all at the same time. What does that MEAN, Glorith..? Suddenly, their is a RRRUMMBLE.

Nova # 4

          The comic starts in Deep Space near Jupiter four seconds after the end of the last issue. Sam appears to be dead. A voice in a ship nearing him says. Do what you want with the body- But I want the helmet intact. A alien says as it nears the body. It looks dead. It looks like a WHELP, Why is there any reason to fear this one? Suddenly, Sam says. Suckers.

         The comic open up with the Legion of Superheroes looking at their new Legion flag and wishing Lighting Lad could have seen it. Saturn Girls at a meting states that her and Mon-EL are going off planet to investigate destructive Space Fungus. She then asks one of the other members to place their new flag over Lighting Lad's coffin. Later they go to the crypt and place the flag on the coffin Bouncing Boy notices that Lighting Lad twitched his arm. Cosmic Boy says he must be dreaming it. However, Sun boy who is also their says the same thing and they open the coffin.
